About Raffaella
Movement has always been a big part of Raffaella’s life but she was diagnosed with chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia at the age of 17. This invisible label set her on a 15-year journey to deeply understand how the body, mind, and spirit are interconnected and regulated by the nervous system.
As an international professional dancer, Raffaella pushed her body to its limits despite her diagnoses, living with chronic pain. This experience sparked a passion to help others heal in their bodies. In 2018, while completing her studies in pilates clinical movement, she began working alongside a team of highly trained allied health professionals at a prestigious sports clinic in Melbourne, Australia. Here, she gained invaluable insights into functional movement and biomechanics.
Raffaella’s personal journey involved exploring numerous modalities to alleviate her symptoms and it also led her to understand the crucial connection between stress and health. She believes in addressing the human body holistically—recognising that whether stress is physical, mental, unconscious, or conscious, it affects the body at a cellular level, leading to pain and dis-ease.
She brings her extensive knowledge of reformer and clinical pilates and all things fascia release her upon her return to Nelson New Zealand in 2022.
There have been some incredible life-changing results and testimonies working alongside her clients in her intimate sessions, especially those with chronic pain and injuries.
She hopes to educate and inspire you to start moving the body you have been blessed with, no matter the limitation.

What is Fascia Release?
The largest system in our body is Fascia, it touches and protects all other systems, structures, muscle fibers, and cells. When we compress over time due to misalignment, poor posture, and working out incorrectly this causes more pressure through those systems and causes a build-up of scar tissue-like fibers that become dense. This causes a physical barricade to deliver nutrients such as blood and oxygen to the cell, and the removal of toxic waste from the cells can not happen effectively.
Raff’s guidance through a self-releasing technique has been pivotal in helping her clients in a far more profound way, especially when it comes to injury and pain. As she teaches you how to regulate your nervous system, all other areas get optimised. Things like circulation, digestion, elimination, cellulite reduction, muscle recovery, and circadian rhythm to name a few all start to naturally improve as you learn how to create space in your body to be able to flow and function properly.
Fascia sessions can be done as private or duos sessions.

3 Key Benefits of Pilates.
01: Increased strength, muscle tone, mobility and flexibility -
Pilates creates length, space, and balance within the body working from the inside out. You will feel muscles activated you never knew you had, as well as a new sense of mobility and freedom in your body.
02: Mind and body control -
Pilates exercises require a great level of body awareness coordination and balance. It is a great stress relief as we take the time to slow down and bring awareness into the body through breath and low-impact movement.
03: Stabilisation of the spine and pelvis -
ITS ALL ABOUT THAT CORE. Pilates works to establish and hold alignment in the spine and pelvis during movement to ensure correct muscle activation. With this comes an urgency to properly understand the function of your core. This will help with any rehabilitation purposes and posture correction.
